How search engone works

Search Engines work through various algorithms. Search Engine algorithms are a process by which websites and keywords are ranked on search engines. The search engine follows the following steps to maintain real-time information.

  • Web Crawling
  • Indexing
  • Searching

Web Crawling

Web crawling is a search engine algorithm that uses web algorithms to collect data from different websites and store them on their own server. A web crawler is an automated program. Search engines receive website information from various websites through web crawling. There is a search engine crawler named Spider that monitors the various files and information on all the websites.

Indexing

The crawler or spider monitors various websites and collects different information, these are the data that is called index and this process is called search engine indexing. That is, indexing means storing their domain names, the information found in HTML files and other specific tokens on web pages on their servers. All this information is followed by a public database that provides web search engines with the information they need. The words that a user searches for in a search engine are known as keywords.

Searching

The cache of pages stored in the search engine's database is immediately sent to a searcher after a spider visits the website. The search engine acts as a means of website traffic. The pages of a website may be different from the pages indexed in the search engine. Because search engines don't crawl webpages every day. Therefore, updating a webpage takes some time to index it in the search engine.

Usually, a user enters a search engine and searches the search engine with a keyword. The search engine then quickly processes the indexed data related to that keyword and sends the website links to the Search Engine Result Page (SERP). For example, your keyword is SEO Services Company in London. Then Search Engine shows the website link based on your keyword SEO Services Company in London.

In the course of indexing, the search engine generates a separate list of websites related to the same keywords for search results. Each list depends on the indexed page of the website. Each search result is only part of the webpage indexing and correct processing.
